Hi - I'm adding new features to the medieval traditional chart module. This will now include a solar returns (solar revolutions) feature.
Ed
-
Hi Ed, please do not forget my question regarding the primary directions of the Solar Ascendant throug the terms in the Revolution.
Up till now I use Delphic Oracl, but Delphic is giving problems on my pc.
-
Hi Hellen - this will be in the medieval module. I'm working on it at the moment. Ed
-
you're the best!! :-*
-
Hi Hellen - see thread in Astrobasic area of the forum. Ed
-
While i don't mind at all how the board is currently doing, what i had in mind for the astrobasic part of the forum was posting about the actual programming language. While the boards here, planetdance for windows and it's subforum Classic, Medieval Vedic are for the programs and modules itself. Of course there can be overlap, don't feel restricted, but i would like to see that distinction so the astrobasic part really is about astrobasic, for the developers. I can use it to announce changes in the language for instance and it can be a reference.

Hi there - I think I've finally got this working - annual directions of the ascendant through the bounds.
Ed
-
Hi there - this is getting close to release. It needs further checking but I think I've sorted most of the bugs out. I'm hoping to release it this weekend with some supporting videos. Best wishes. Ed
-
When you release the new version i'll put it on fb to lure people to the forum ;D
-
Hi - the release is getting close. I've had some delays and bugs to fix but everything seems to be sorted out now. Final testing before the weekend and then release.

Again a fantastic addition Ed, kudos :)
-
Thanks! This is probably the most ambitious script so far. Some of these features will be included in the forthcoming re-write of Ed Greek.
All the best. Ed
-
Even better!
-
Thanks so much, Ed. You're the best!! :) :)
-
Thanks Hellen - it's good to have your positive feedback. I appreciate it.
Best wishes. Ed

hello Ed
concerning the primary directions of the Ascendant through the terms
in case i make a mistake, you consider here the primary directions of the Solar Ascendant through the terms in the Revolution? or in life
is it not what we call "divisor"?
(directed asc through the bound in all life by ptolemaic or neibod key
-
Hi there - the annual listing of directions through the bounds for ascendant and mc are just for the particular revolution. Ed
-
Thanks, Ed, for the new major update to the Medieval Traditional Chart module! This module is another great tool. I especially love the dots displaying currently activated profections and directions. And, of course, I'm happy to see that this module includes Chaldean bounds. :)
There is one thing I noticed with charts that are calculated and saved with WSH. When opened in the Medieval Traditional Chart module, the planets positions are off. The lines to the degrees of the planets are in place though. Weirdly, if I save the startup chart for today using WSH and open it in the Medieval Chart module, this misplacing of the planets doesn't occur; only with older charts from the file. Any idea what's wrong here?
Below an example chart opened in the Medieval Traditional Chart module, the second graph is the same chart opened in the main menu.
-
Thanks Sindy - I'll get this fixed. Ed
-
Hi there - Jean will be releasing this bug fix later in the day.
Best wishes. Ed
-
Great, thanks Ed!
I just saw there already exists a thread about the Medieval Traditional Chart. Didn't see this earlier. Apologies for opening a new thread!
-
Hi Sindy - this fix has been released. Let me know if you have any more problems. Ed
-
Looks fine now, thanks!
In the main wheel, however, the house cusps are slightly off. That was also before fixing the bug in Medieval Traditional Chart. This may be something for Jean, I guess?
-
I just see the 'e' in date is missing in the Medieval Traditional Chart (upper right corner) :)
-
Hi - if you are a regular user of the Medieval Traditional Chart module, please update Planetdance for the latest bug fixes.
Many thanks. Ed
-
Hi Sindy - the house cusps in the main wheel are for Jean as he maintains the main code. Ed
-
Well it's turning out rather complicated. It's a little bit better now but not optimal. I'm gonna try something new for WHS but that will take a bit of time.
[Edit] 1 hour later, i tried a few things but the part that draws a horoscope is quite complex and i'd have to redesign things to improve this situation. Frankly i'm not too happy with this but for now it's the best i can do. You can see the problem illustrated when you move a horoscope in time per minute using the arrows. The housecusps dance a bit round the signcusps, sometimes exact, sometimes one pixel off.
[Edit 2] If you still see cusps that are off too much, please redownload.
-
Thanks Jean - I will update now. Best wishes. Ed
-
Thanks, Jean! I did an update. Looks good to me now. :)
-
Hi there - I'm releasing an important bug fix for this module later today.
27 September 2020
v.7.66 - bug fix for directed angles
If you are a regular user of this module I recommend that you update as soon as possible.
Ed
-
Hi, after the update I'm having again the same bug as we had some time ago. The planets are not in their right positions. I was also thinking about the colors. The theme I've chosen has the same colors as the dots are. So blue (monthly profected Asc) and green (directed Asc) are not seen if they fall in earth or water signs.
-
Ed those texts in the left bottom corner are inside a loop. They are bold and a bit diffuse because of that.
Good luck with the positions.

Fixed. Thanks Jean.
-
Hi Sindy - apologies for the regression. :-[ I've fixed it now. I've also altered the marker colours. Let me know what you think. I'll send the update to Jean for release.
All the best. Ed
-
Thanks. Published.
-
Thanks Jean. :)
-
Hi Ed, no apologies needed. Looks fine now. Thanks! :)

Hi there - here is an early look at the embedded version of Medieval Traditional Chart. This will include all the existing features. I will probably use this opportunity to include additional modules like Victor of the Chart so that the medieval folder is tidied up.
Thanks. Ed
-
Nice work Ed, and i like the cleaning up.
-
Here is the latest screenshot from the beta version of the embedded Medieval Traditional Chart script.
-
if it's embedded please add setsymbolsize for bigger symbols Ed. 8)
-
It's all done Jean. Just testing now. Ed

Hi there - this version includes a bug fix for the display and listings of dodekatemoria. Please update if you use this module regularly.
Ed
-
Hi there - a further small refinement of the Medieval Traditional Chart module.
v.8.85 - removed dodekatemoria table, checked medieval divisions table, added novenaria display option for inner wheel.
This tidies up the display of dodekatemoria information which might have been misleading in earlier versions of the update.
Thanks to Sindy for identifying a bug.
Ed
-
Hi there - further small bug fixes from the recent big update to this module. If you are a regular user please update your installation of Planetdance.
v.8.89 - various bug fixes including contra-ant display, lot listings
Thanks for using Planetdance.

Hi there - there is an update for this module:
v. 8.110. - added option to use albiruni's calculation of lots of mercury and venus using spirit and fortune only
This brings the module more into line with medieval practice.
Thanks. Ed
