Kindness, may you receive it and share it with all life.

Here is a brief addendum:

In her book, The Circle of Stars, p.101, Valerie Roebuck wrote, “Abhijit’s symbol is a triangle, or three-cornered hat. It consists of three stars which, unlike the other lunar mansions, are a long way from the ecliptic:  the bright white star Vega (Alpha Lyrae), and two other stars in the Lyre: Epsilon Lyrae and Zeta Lyrae.”

Thank you both for your replies.

The nakshatra Abhijit is associated with the star Vega, which was the pole star circa 12,000 BCE.

In the Srimad Bhagavatam, Vishnu says, "Among the vigilant cycles of time, I am the year, and among seasons I am spring.  Among months, I am Margasirsa, and among lunar houses, I am the auspicious Abhijit."

Alas, Abhijit is missing from the work of most contemporary Hindu/Vedic astrologers.  Perhaps dividing 360ׄ° by 28 is too difficult ???

What I should have asked is whether you can create a wheel with 28 houses?

Also, when creating the Vargas (divisional charts), can you make them so that the are similar to the ones created by Solar Fire 9, as in the attached example.

May Grace and Kindness be with you and those whom you know.

Grace and Kindness to you and those whom you know.

Are you planning to add Hindu/Vedic divisional charts, such as Vimshamsha, Siddshamsha, and Shashtisamsha?

Also, is it possible to create a wheel that shows the 28 nakshatras (adding Abhijit) rather than just the 27?

Thank you for replying.

Planetdance General / Re: Download
« on: October 07, 2023, 01:35:36 AM »
I went through the registry and found and removed some items associated with Planetdance.  Then restarted the computer, did a new download, and this time the installation went smoothly.

Are you working with someone who knows the requirements for creating the divisional charts of Hindu/Vedic astrology, such as the 60th divisional chart called Shastiamsa?

Thank you for your reply.

Attempted three times to download and set up Planetdance today, 6 Oct 2023.

Windows 10.

Each time there is a message that files are corrupt, and download cannot occur.

Please help.

Thank you.

General Astrology Topics / Two questions
« on: July 27, 2022, 09:54:54 PM »
Kindness and grace to each and everyone.

Two  questions:

1.  Was the rectification module removed?

2.  Is it possible to create a custom ayanamsa?

Michael Erlewine lists several:

Thank you for responding.

Classic, Medieval, Vedic / Re: Medieval Victor of the Chart

Joy and blessing to all.

What are the differences between

1) Lord of the Geniture
2) Victor of the Chart
3) Oikodespotes

With the Atmakaraka of Hindu/Vedic astrology, a different planet may be assigned as the most significant.

Thank you for responding.

With sincere best wishes,

Steven
