By the way, I still have a ini-file from an older version which was/is still working (on both computers) with the resizing zodiac. That may be helpful, then again I don't want to take up your time.

Would it be helpful if I posted the contents in the ini-file?

When it's maximized everything is fine, but when the program is made smaller the chart wheel is still the same, large size, only partly visible, as in the picture.
The screenshot is from my laptop, only I have the exact same problem with my stationary computer.

No, that didn't work, unfortunately.

Maybe I found the answer to my problems. Could it be that I earlier on copied the entire program from one computer to another (with another size screen) instead of updating it from the internet, thus copying inappropriate configuration settings?

Jean and martinus, I'm so greatful to you guys for taking time out to look at this thing.
Jean, I upgraded to the changed version and it does prevents the program from crashing. However, I'm sad to say that the chartwheel still won't resize, at least not on my computer...

Hi Jean.
Appreciate your reply. I tried a new installation as well, on two computers, but to no avail. Oh well, maybe I'll figure something out.
Best,
Bengt

Planetdance for windows / Planetdance crashes after installation
« on: August 09, 2021, 02:52:45 PM »
Hi, it's me again.
After having tried to update Planetdance with no succes as described in a previous post I uninstalled it completely (?) and did a new installation only to get the same results, only this time the program crashes after one clicks on the "Minimize" icon in the upper right hand corner.
Seems to me there is some configuration file that does not get removed, but I don't know. This is the first and only time I've ever had this kind of software problem, so if there is anybody out there who has had a similar experience I would very much appreciate any information on this subject.
Best regards

Planetdance for windows / Windows resizing
« on: August 04, 2021, 07:53:19 PM »
After installing a version of PD from 03/08/2021 over one from 04/01/2021 and clicking the "restore" button, the chart wheel no longer changes size (that is becomes smaller), only the rest of the program becomes smaller, showing only part of the zodiak which is still in its large, original shape. Or to put it another way, the program cannot be resized any more. Why is that?

Planetdance for windows / Drawing Fixed Stars
« on: January 17, 2021, 02:26:31 PM »
Hi all,

For some reason, when drawing fixed stars on the screen in text format (Fixed Stars -> Menu -> Draw), they somehow don't match the positions given in the original list (under Fixed Stars).

For instance, in Donald Trump's chart, Regulus is listed as being in the last degree of Leo on the Ascendant, but when drawn is in Gemini in the 10th house (using Placidus houses and the tropical Zodiak).  Algol, on the MC according to the listing, when drawn on the screen winds up in the 11th, and so forth.

Great program, nevertheless.
