Hi Jean,

I'm not sure if it only happens to me, but when I try to access: Horoscope / Various / Equal Housesytems and try to choose whatever option from there (Equal/1=Aries, or anything else) it's freezing the whole program.

Could you, please, reproduce and let me know if it happens to you as well?

General Astrology Topics / Unknown birth time

Hi,

I have searched in PD for a way to cast a chart where the birth time is unknown, but, unfortunately I wasn't able to find it.

So, please help me to achieve this.

This will also affect the house drawing and the interpretation module, cancelling the planets positions in the houses, leaving only their positions in the signs and the aspects between them.

For drawing the wheel I saw Astro-seek opted for setting the Aries 0 degree on the left, which is fair enough.

I tried to simulate this in PD but I couldn't remove: house positions from the left, house numbers from the wheel, the Asc-Desc axe and, obvioulsy, the interpretation section regarding the house positions and planets in house.

Seeing that there is the option to cast Sideral Natal chart, I was searching for the posibility to cast the transit chart for that Sideral Natal chart, but I didn't find it. On Astro-seek I found it.

Please let me know how I can make it.

The workaround would be to cast 2 different charts, calculated with Sideral method, one for the natal and one for the transit, and then cast a third one from Horoscope /Bi wheel.
It's not so difficult, but it's not so obvious for those who would like to simply cast a sideral natal chart and then immediately to cast a transit for it, but that one to be on sideral too. A condition (flag) should be set in the code for this thing I suppose.

Hi Jean,

I see that every time I close and reopen the PD, the mean node is calculated as being on, despite the fact I see it not checked in the Options / Settings.

For not using the mean node I have to check and uncheck the option in Settings.

Is it set as default to be on, even if is not seen as on?

Or am I doing something wrong?

Please let me know what I'm doing wrong that I could not find Chiron aspects in Time / List?

I checked the settings in Planet aspects / Orbs / Objects, all seem to be OK, but still the aspects for Chiron are not showing.

Hi Jean,

My native language being Romanian I thought it would be useful to create a Romanian.lan file

I'm attaching it here and you will decide if you include it or not in the PD.

Please be aware I should modify the extension from .lan to .jpg due to upload restrictions.

PS: obviously, it could be improved so, whenever somebody will have issues regarding the translation, I'm eager to modify it.

Would it be difficult to have more personal interpretations, i.e. who wants to play with the template files to obtain, let's say, not only Jupiter in Sag, but also Jupiter in Sag in the first house, in order to better explain the principle Where - How - Where?

The template file could have headers like:

JUP.SAG.H1

Or a better idee would be to have a Interpretations Editor wenu where to be able to chose 3 or 2 things that could be interpreted and the software to be able to construct a template based on those 3 chosen things:

Ruler of the first house in the nineth house, in Aries

The possibilities would be various

Hi guys

I have a stellium in my 12th house and I have wondered when this configuration has been around over time.

My stellium is the following:
Mars 22 Sco 28
Jupiter 29 Sco 26
Neptune 02 Sag 18
Venus 03 Sag 45

1) My first impulse was to go to Time/List, where I selected the 4 planets and, as aspect, the conjunction.
Obviously, what I got was not what I was looking for, just a list of conjunction pairs, not the stellium.

2) while searching through the menus I came across Time / Query and this is where the story began.

I searched in Help and then in AstroBasic the syntax for what I needed

I used

marssign=7 and jupitersign=7 and neptunesign=8 and venussign=8

and, after some tinkering with the number of years I found that, in a 400 years interval, these 4 planets, 2 in Sco and 2 in Sag were in these signs only in 1971, the year of my birth and will be again in October 2136.

OK, I thought to myself, but how do I know if or when they were in the same sign degrees? And I started digging deeper into both Help and AstroBasic, but unfortunately I couldn't find any syntax I could use to find for example the simple:

Mars at 22 Sco 28

I tried marspos, marsdec, getdeclination, etc but each time I got an error either that a parameter is missing, or that the syntax is wrong, etc.
I ended up creating this topic in the hope that the more experienced can give me a helping hand.

I thought that maybe this Query tool is only for searching the database, but in this case how can I make a query like the ones above without having a database, but simply search for certain events, configurations, etc..

Planetdance on Other OS / Installing Plantedance on a Mac

Hi there,

I'm presenting you a free and solid way to install Planetdance on a Mac. I am using it and it's working like a charm. And it's free also, no hidden software or fees.

1) go to https://www.portingkit.com and download the Porting kit
2) after download it, drag the .dmg on Applications folder as usual and then launch it
3) go to "All apps" section and you'll see "Custom port"; click on it
4) follow all the steps indicated in the setup process and you'll be able to have Plantedance installed on your Mac

If you encounter any issues, please feel free to comment here, present your issue and I will help you.

PS: This Porting kit is useful for installing all windows apps on a Mac, not only this one.

General Astrology Topics / A possible glitch in Transits moving wheel?

Hi Jean,

Either I am doing something wrong, or there is a glitch. Let me explain:

1) I'm casting my natal Radix. Please note my Sun is in the 2nd house, Moon in the 8th, Mercury in the 1st, and so on
2) I'm then casting the Transit wheel. There I find that all my natal planets are calculated in the Transits house, so I see my Sun is in the 11th house, Moon in 5th, Mercury in 10th, and so on.

Is this a rule in casting transits? I mean Should I know that my natal planet is in the Xth house of transits, instead of keeping my natal planets in their initial houses?

I'm attaching both two screenshots for you to analyze and maybe try to reproduce the case.

Hi guys,

Please let me know if there is a way to get rid of the houses (and their numbers) of the external ring for Transfers, Progressions, etc?

I mean, yes, for Synastry I want to have them, obviously, but for Transits Progressions it's kind of ... confusing to have on the external ring a house and its number.

My wish would be to have houses in the inner ring, natal and only the planets outside the zodiacal ring, for Transits, Progressions, etc. This way the wheel would be so clean and easy to read.

At least a toggle for this, since maybe others want to have them.

Hi there,

Please help me with some info about how to have a calculation of a transiting planet in a natal house.
For example I have Uranus in transit through my 5th house and I would like to know when it entered and when it will exit this house.

I saw ingress of a planet in house in Calendar, but I'm afraid it's only for a single month and for Uranus to search by month ... it will be to much
