Planetdance for windows / Filter - Setup value aspecy
« on: May 12, 2024, 05:07:36 AM »
Hi Jean,
in Filter where the value of the aspect is setup? Is the sameused in the charts?
I want, for example, to find a conjunction for 2 planets at 1 degree, or a different value, Is that possible?

Thanks ion advance

Thanks for the reply Ed, very appreciated

Classic, Medieval, Vedic / Re: Primary direction in PD

Hi Jean
yes is a sort of primary progression used in Italy by classic students.

Not very expert in this field, for now I know that this is in Livio's program, I was wondering is was also in another program such as Ed Greek horoscope or Mediaeval traditional chart or Ptolemaic Primary Direction

Classic, Medieval, Vedic / Primary direction in PD
« on: March 26, 2024, 12:36:50 AM »
Hi Jean, Ed
can I find this calculation in PD as from Livio description? In Italy the call them direzioni placidiane

formula completa semiarchi placidus senza latitudine pianeta
complete formula semiarchs placidus without planet latitude

non traduco in inglese, le formule sono intuibili.
ob    = obliquità 23.438130

dati forniti dal software
   lob/lo[0][a]   = longitudine pianeta promissore
   lat      = latitudine
   dp         = declinazione

dh      = distanza oraria
ad      = differenza ascensionale
a       = significatore (0 = sole 1 = luna da tabella effemeridi)
aa      = promissore

aspectangle[aaa] = aaa = tutti gli aspetti es 0,60,90,120 ecc

distance=command pd corrisponde all'angolo minore fra due punti
normalize= command pd riduce entro 360°

:psig0;`calcolo significatore xlat0 parte 1
lob= lo[0][a];
los =lob;
ED = sin(los)*sin(ob);
ED = asin(ED);`distanza equinoziale Gansten
da = tan(lat)*tan(ED);da = asin(da);
Sad = normalize(90 + da);semiarco diurno
San = normalize(90 - da);semiarco notturno
dp = decp[a];
lp = 0;@cra;   calcolo ar senza latitudine
dm_mc = normalize(ar-armc);if (dm_mc > 180) dm_mc -= 360;distanza meridiana mc
dm_ic = normalize(ar-aric);if (dm_ic > 180) dm_ic -= 360);distanza meridiana ic

:ppro0;`promissore xlat0 parte 2

'la direzione è sempre calcolata con latitudine 0 (lp = 0) proiettata sull' equatore

lop = lob;
ED = sin(lop)*sin(ob);
ED = asin(ED);`gansten
da = tan(lat)*tan(ED);da = asin(da);
Sad = normalize(90 + da);
San = normalize(90 - da);
dp = decp[aa];
lp = 0;@cra;
dm_mc = normalize(ar-armc);if (dm_mc > 180) dm_mc -= 360;
dm_ic = normalize(ar-aric);if (dm_ic > 180) dm_ic -= 360);
if (normalize(-lo[0][14] + los) > 180)
{`se sopra orizzonte
dh = dm_mc[1] / Sad[1];
delta = normalize(dm_mc[0] - (dh * Sad[0]));
{`se sotto orizzonte
dh = dm_ic[1] / San[1];
delta = normalize(dm_ic[0] - (dh * San[0]));
delta = angolo direzione finale
si consiglia di usare 1 grado = 1 anno

try to save the SF charts in QCK format and import in PD

Thanks very much Jean

Planetdance for windows / Copy PD on Laptop
« on: March 03, 2024, 07:29:42 AM »
Hello, what would be the simple ways to transfer PD from my desktop computer to my laptop in its current state (with all of the configurations, database, etc.)?
After installing PD on the laptop, should I put everything from the desktop into the Planetdance directory?

For myself, I utilise PD in the English translation.
Furthermore, most terminology in classical and ellenistic astrology come from English translations of Arabic, Greek, and Latin texts.

Hi Stefania

Thanks for checking, but I need the whole sign house system for the domification.

Thanks I knew that wasn't a common request, but I tried the same

Hi Jean
Try again, this request is for a friend who is doing a research project.
It is possible to add in P[en/Application/Import Export/Convert to add in HouseSystem the Whole Sign House System starting from the House that contains the Fortune.
For example, my Fortune Parts is at 22* Cancer, it is possible to have the chart, using the Whole Sign House, starting from 0^ Cancer as first house?
Thanks for the attention

Hi Jean
   +00:09 is a value that you can see also in PD when you cast the chart, not sure why is saved as 0.16

Hi Jean
I noticed a little difference between the Hank example and the latest QCK transfer in PD

Example sent to me by Hank

Last Name, First Name:
'Rosen,Richard          ' = Total Length = 23 chars.
Date and Time:
'DEC 26, 194706:25:00 AM ' = Total Length = 23 chars.
'EST+05:00' = Total Length = 10 chars.
'073W57'00 ' = Total Length = 10 chars.
'40N45'00 ' = Total Length = 9 chars.
'New York, NY             ' = Total Length = 25 chars.

total line length is: 23+24+9+10+9+25 = 100 characters

The Zone is in Time format
'EST+05:00' = Total Length = 10 chars.

Saved by PD

I tried to import the PD QCK in SF I noticed a small difference on the Asc position (just 1 degree)

When you have time could you please chec what is the correct format for the Zone
