Hi there - this module is due for release today. Please download the update to get this module within Planetdance.
Horoscope-Extra-Tyl Chart Synthesis: v.1.111 - initial release.
From the Help:
This module is designed to replicate the chart analysis and synthesis methods of the late US astrologer Noel Tyl. Tyl was active in astrology from the late 1960s until his death in December 2019. Noel Tyl described himself as a 'humanistic' astrologer, and his work is inspired by a number of the key astrologers of the twentieth century including Dane Rudhyar, Reinhold Ebertin and John Addey. Tyl was also inspired by the humanistic psychology and psychotherapy movement pioneered by Carl Rogers.
Tyl's principle philosophical inspiration came from Dane Rudhyar, the French-American astrologer who published the key text, The Astrology of Personality, in 1936. Rudhyar's inspiration came, in turn, from Theosophy and the work of Helena Blavatsky and Alice Bailey. This stream of thought also underpinned Alan Leo's reformulation of astrology in the early twentieth century.
Tyl integrated some of Ebertin's methods into his work including midpoints, use of the cardinal axes (Aries point), hard aspects (conjunction, square and opposition) and solar arc directions. However Tyl used a conventional house system (Placidus) and did not make use of Cosmobiology's dial system.
Tyl introduced few innovations of his own but did popularise the use of the 'quindecile' aspect, being an angle of 165 degrees.
Tyl published many books, including the 1000 page compendium of methods Synthesis and Counselling in Astrology: The Professional Manual.
Main Screen - this module is based on an embedded window. Opening the module will use the current horoscope to calculate and display a tri-wheel. The inner wheel shows the natal chart; the middle wheel shows the directed/progressed chart; the outer wheel shows the current transits. The directions, progressions and transits are based on the date shown in the top right hand corner of the window.
A range of additional positions can be shown outside the wheel. These include the current solar return, the antisicia positions and a selection of fixed stars. On the outside of the tri-wheel, the 'solarscope' can also be displayed. This is essentially a chart drawn with the Sun's degree being the cusp of the first equal house.
