Planetdance General / February 2025 Updates

Hi there - here is a summary of the main updates delivered in February 2025. Please update your installation to get all the latest features and bugfixes.

Februari 28
+ Added some new color themes from Lyndsie.

Februari 25
+ On request added Horoscope - Various - Calculator, lets you evaluate values like 'sun + moon - venus' for a chart.
* Time - Tools - Planet in sign duration wasn't working anymore.

Februari 23
+ Options Save / Load desktop now also saves the background picture if you have one.
+ Added option to Options - Settings - Layout - View to disable lines connecting planets to their degree.
+ Added option to Options - Settings - Layout - View to disable showing longitudes of houses for use with equal housesystem.
+ Added some color files, thanks to Lyndsie.

* date/time/place to the dialog for File - Synastry - Biwheel mysteriousy disappeared.

Februari 17
- Horoscope - Harmonics - Harmonic had all planets shown as stationary.
+ Horoscope-Harmonics-Harmonic Chart Analysis: v. 5.65.71 - further improvements and bug fixes, new data tab, full proportional spacing, help updated.+

Februari 14
+ Horoscope-Harmonic-Harmonic Chart Analysis: v.5.65.47 - new graphic ephemeris tab, new harmonic summary tab, new multiwheel tab, code rewritten.
- When planetdance was started with a user resolution (Settings - Layout), if you tried to move the app over the screen, the window would become very small.

Februari 8
- Horoscope-Extra-Tyl Chart Synthesis: v.2.21 - solar return is now always calculated for return date prior to reference date.

Februari 6
- Housepositions in Horoscope - Various - Equal Housesystems were sometimes off.
+ When you try to save to a readonly file you wil now get a question 'File is Readonly, Save anyway?'

Februari 4
- Horoscope-Medieval-Medieval Firdaria: v.2.30 - bug fix for sub-lords display of north node.

Februari 3
+ On request, added Filter - Signs, to Time List, filters the list for a specific sign.
- The list with timezone exceptions in the input dialog had values reversed.

Welcome Josh - time zones can be tricky, particularly for the US it seems. As Jean says it should be fairly easy to correct.

I hope you enjoy your experiences with PD.

Unfortunately the timezone calendar in planetdance is not perfect.
You could  edit places and adjust the timezone. Or use the Other UT feature when entering data for a chart.

Planetdance General / incorrect timezone

Hello,

I'm new to planetdance and I have an issue that I would like help with.

I live in Fishers, IN, which is currently on EST (until Sunday, March 9). This is West of UTC by 5 hours, the same time as New York. However, when I enter my birthchart and when I try to create a chart for the current moment, planetdance gives the correct gps coordinates for Fishers, but says "EST -6:00", giving an incorrect ascendant. planetdance gives the timezone for "America/Indiana/Indianapolis" as "EST -6:00", when it should be "EST -5:00".

Is there a way that I can correct this?

Horoscope-Medieval-Medieval Traditional Chart: v.11.50 - fully proportional positioning, mulitiple bug fixes, positioning fixes, added ptolemy's ages of life lord, added major period lord for firdaria.

Hi Albee -

I'd like to create a TRI-Wheel with the Natal chart on the inside, the Secondary Progressions in the middle, and Solar Arc Directions on the outermost ring.

I think you will find what you need in File-Synastry-Triwheel.

This triwheel is customisable and will allow you to achieve your goal.

Additionally, is there a way to generate a hit list? Ideally, I?d like to compile a full-year list of transits (Jupiter through Pluto) to the Natal chart, along with a separate list of all Secondary Progressions and Solar Arc Directions, then combine them by time period for better analysis.

Please check Horoscope-List  for this type of information.

Hi Roberto - thanks for the feedback. Jean has now updated this module. If you experience any difficulties with it, I suggest you change one of the settings for the Dynamic Positions Display at the bottom left of the screen, close the module and then re-open it.

All should be ok then. Ed
