Clockwise House System
« on: March 27, 2021, 11:48:59 PM »
Hello - I have been experimenting with the clockwise house system and I am wondering if there is a way for Planetdance to include it - In the book "The Clockwise House System" by Jacques Dorsan the requirement is that the numbering of the houses is clockwise while the signs continue to move counter-clockwise.  Thus what is normally the 1st house becomes the 12th. the 12th house becomes the 1st., the 11th house is the 2nd etc. clockwise around the chart. The planets and all other calculations would have to fit this new house system.  Is that possible?

Also, another variant of this is from Carl Tobey where the house numbering remains the same, but the 1st house is always Leo, the 12th house is Virgo, etc clockwise around the chart. Is this one possible?

I don't know a thing about the Astrobasic programming system so I am hoping someone may possibly program this if it is indeed possible to do and make it a part of Planetdance.  Thanks.

I'm sorry to say this but i find this too uncommon. For a technique to be interesting it should at least be a bit more common.

Hi there - welcome to the forum. It's an interesting idea. I see that it is of most interest to sidereal astrologers. At some point I plan to code a module that uses the techniques of Western Sidereal Astrology so I might include the concept in that script.
