Midpoints-Modul
« on: November 19, 2021, 08:48:19 AM »
I am currently reading my books about midpoints again and studying the really great cosmobiology module.
In the other midpoint module is the great 360 midpoint scope.
Here I would ask you to make it bigger. There is still so much space and as it is now it is impossible to see details.
Maybe you can arrange the midpoints differently?
That would be great.

Had a go at it but it's Ed's code, so it'll have to wait. Meanwhile, just select less bodies :)

Hi Volker - there are various technical reasons to do with the font that Planetdance uses that means this is very difficult. The fonts are not scalable, being bitmaps rather than vector, so they take a fixed amount of space on the screen. I have tried a number of different ways to display a large number of midpoints, but the graphics become so crowded that it's difficult to make sense of what's going on. As Jean says, it means selecting the midpoints that you wish to display. I will take a look at the module at some point as I can see there is some screen space that could be used more effectively.

I'm glad you enjoy the Cosmobiology module.

Ok, I can understand that this is difficult.

The fact that I can view the transits in the cosmobiology module is very helpful. I have manually noted the midpoints on which the transits falls.

I would wish for the future that there would be a list to print/export for transit, solar arc....

The second thing is, I was hoping to be able to use the other midpoint module for synastry as well. But it only creates the midpoints for the chart, what is outside and not outer planets to midpoints inside.

That would be a big help.

It's great what you can do with the astro programmes today.
When I started astrology, I made myself a transparent aspect disc and used it to examine the horoscopes.
Now I have seen that such a thing actually still exists. So for younger people who want to go back to the roots, here is the link:

I think it's working ok.. Scopes are not affected.

November 21
+ Added Synastry option to Horoscope - Midpoints, compare the midpoints from the original radix to the planets of another.

That was a nice surprise this morning. Thanks very much. :D

I did a couple of tests and only found two things that I don't understand.
I took Woody Allen's horoscope and transits as synastry.

Jean, Transit sun half square SU / MU is in the list of aspects, but not in the tree. Why ? It's within 1.5 orbit.

Please have a look at the scrennshot.

you are talking about a transit but you don't give specifics so i can't test, please provide two persons so it's easier testing.

Were the transits of this morning at 8 o'clock and Woody Allen from the Panetdance database.

I think the problem arises when the transit planet is also involved in the half-sum.

In the screenshot see Sun and Uranus.

Here is a second example with W. Allen and C. G. Jung

I made some changes, please test. You don't need to test synastry, it happened on a single radix too.

This is actually unusual in the single chart, but it doesn't bother me.

For partner charts and transits at least it saves a lot of work.

Did not find any more errors.

I hope it will be well received by the users.

Thanks for your effort.
