Hi there - thanks for your concern. I have had to take a break from this thread. I've been very busy at work and I'm also have to take time away from the computer due to back pain. I hope to get back to this sports astrology but not at the moment. In truth, I was making the method rather complicated, and I think the accuracy of the predictions had suffered.

I had a sneaky look at the 49ers @ Packers match. Using my simplified method of prediction, this could be an upset for the 49ers. The bookmakers have the Packers as clear favourites, but their significators, Mercury and Venus, are both retrograde and Mercury is combust, very close to the Sun. Venus is well placed in the WSH 5th, but Mercury is in the WSH 6th. The 49ers are signified by Jupiter, ruler and bound lord of the descendant, and this is placed in the 7th. Venus, the Packer's bound lord, is in mutual reception by bound, with Jupiter, the 49ers' bound lord and ruler.

The quarterback position is a very Mercurial one, and I wonder if Aaron Rodgers is not going to be firing. We'll see.

Thanks - the 49ers won 13-10. I didn't follow the match, but will pick up the highlights on BBC. Incidentally the same methodology would have predicted a Bengals win over the Titans.

For the record: Rams over Buccs (bookies have the Buccs as very slight favourites).

The Bills @ Chiefs is much more difficult to predict. The bookmakers give the Chiefs a slight advantage. The Bills have Mercury as bound lord, combust and retrograde. It is separating from the Sun, but still not in great shape. It's in the 7th WSH. The Chiefs' ruler is Sun, in the WSH 7th, in Saturn ruled Aquarius so the Sun is ruled by Saturn. The Sun in Aquarius is of course in detriment. This could be a very tough game, going in to overtime, with a heavy emphasis on defence (Saturn). Josh Allen may be sidelined by the Chiefs, or have a difficult game strewn with errors. In the end this will be an instructive game for learning. The algorithm comes up with the Bills over Chiefs, but I think the outcome is very difficult to decide in advance.

My health is still not too good, but getting better. Will be back in action for the next season! Ed

Hi - wow - these games sound great! Can't wait to catch the highlights. I'm not surprised about the outcome of the Bills @ Chiefs match. This is a game where the symbolism was extremely complex. Hi there - here are my brief predictions for the next round of the playoffs.

Bengals @ Chiefs

The bookies have the Chiefs as favourites. 93% of the expert pundits at Pickwatch favour the Chiefs. However, using my algorithm, the astrology predicts a Bengals upset. With a Gemini rising chart, the Lord of the Ascendant Mercury is retrograde and ill-placed and counts against the Chiefs. The Bengals pick up a Jupiter ruled angle (the descendant) which is dignified and angular in the 10th WSH.

49ers @ Rams

The bookies have this as a closer match, but the overall consensus is a Rams win. 76% of the Pickwatch Pros favour the Rams. The astrology of this match is in agreement - Rams to overcome the 49ers.

This would give a Bengals-Rams Superbowl later in the February.

Bengals are going to the Super Bowl. Chiefs were up early 21-3, but only managed to score 3 more points in the second half.

Thanks - I feel I can take a bow after the Bengals prediction!  I got the Rams match right too. I would have liked the '49ers to win. I've got a soft spot for them. It's a pity they collapsed in latter part of the match. But you can't argue with the cosmos.
