Hi Jean - I set No Houses using the Toolbar with the icons. I got the problem that Sindy has. It seems to be isolated to one off removal of the house system, rather than setting the default as No Houses through the Options menu.

My guess is the problem line is 154: getcirclepos(mx, my, height * .26, findr1 - asc, posx, posy);

Where asc is only defined in terms of planets[ASCENDANT]. This is probably vulnerable in the case above where this is not defined?

Fix:

h = gethousesys(0);

if (h = -2)
       r = findr1;
    else
        r = findr1 - asc;
    getcirclepos(mx, my, height * .26, r, posx, posy);

Finally, problem replicated.

September 19
- When setting the housesystem to None using the icon in the toolbar, values for houses and asc in horoscopes are now adjusted / set to zero. This fixes some behaviour with incorrect drawings.

About your fix, asc should be zero with No Houses, it shouldn't matter. Internally i now indeed use that same condition but i set the houses and asc/mc to zero, overwriting previous values.

Thanks Jean - yours is the more sophisticated alternative I'm sure! I'm glad this one is fixed now. Ed

Thanks for the fix, Jean! Now it works. The only thing left is the weird conjunctions showing up after selecting 'After birth' in the check box.

P.S. I just saw your new pic under Help/About. Great photo! 😃👍

Sindy do you have an example of a weird conjunction, can't find one.

Thanks for the compliment, that photo was before i lost a few kilos (i don't have that belly anymore!  ;D) but i did it for the sweater, a present from a nice lady i got to know facebook. She knitted it and it traveled by boat all the way from Canada. It must be the nicest present i ever got.

@Ed, this way you don't have to do anything in ab. When the global housesystem gets set all present horoscopes are recalculated, but as/mc kept their old incorrect values.

Jean, that sweater is absolutely stunning! ✨

For the weird conjunctions (in the aspect list), see the pic below.

P.S. And congrats for losing a few kilos. That is hard work.

Been looking at that list yes, but which one is wrong? I tried a few but didn't see errors, calculations are ok too as far as i can see.

When you compare the conjunctions listed in the aspect list to the points of the star you see that, for example, the Sun is not conjunct point e as indicated in the list.

Perfect, Jean! I'm very glad it is fixed. I've been spending much time studying the VSP system, and I love that Planetdance has this module. It's great as a teaching tool, too.  :)

I often see it mentioned by people yes, it carries some weight. Haven't used it myself much i'm afraid.

September 19
+ Added checkbox to Horoscope - Extra - Venus Star Point for choosing the first After Birth in stead of before, as for Arielle Guttman in her book Venus Star Rising.
- Fixed problem with setting the housesystem to None using the icon in the toolbar in combination with some modules

It didn't seem as much of a big deal in the beginning, but once I started learning it for real and began to understand the mechanics behind it, I've got so much insight through this system in combination with other techniques that I will go on studying it (I'm at the moment working on my exam to get certified).

Just for clarification, Arielle Guttman teaches that the Sun-Venus conjunction before birth is your personal VSP. The 'after birth rule' applies only for those born close (seven to ten days) to the next VSP.
