How to move zodiac ring in the bi wheel chart?
« on: January 07, 2022, 11:29:41 AM »
When i do a tri wheel the zodiac ring is around the edge of the chart, which allows the other chart/s planets to blend better. But in a synastry chart the zodiac wheel appears in the center of the two wheels, separating the two charts.  I find this a little off putting when looking into a bi wheel and end up using the tri wheel just using two charts.

Is there anyway to change this, so that the zodiac ring is on the outside of a bi wheel?

Since you are currently working on the synastry module,
could you consider adding a checkbox for selecting the planets in the bi,bi-extra, tri, quad-moduls directly in the window?
So you could quickly switch factors on and off, which is sometimes very nice.
I have attached a graphic.
Reason for my suggestion:
In another astro program I have the option of clicking on a planet with the mouse and only the planet and the factors that form aspects are displayed and everything else is faded out in pale gray.
This makes it much easier to concentrate with such an abundance of information at synastria. Especially with tri- and quadweels.

I've been thinking about your request but i'm not gonna do it, there are enough dialogs on those screens already.
I changed that script again, try an update.

Take a look at Filemanager - application - count - options.
I could add that menu to this one.. will think about it.

The issue is that there is a global setting for aspects in a biwheel, these are in the current .pa2 file. It does not make very much sense to have a separate one in these modules, it's confusing, see what i mean? So no, sorry.

Ok, I can see that this is complicated.
I have experimented a little to find the best solution for myself. I'll stay with the old Bi-weel,
because I can set everything as I want via the pa-2 files. I've created several sets.
Synastry-radix-transit-progression is nice too, but there I'm missing a permanent table of aspects.
But I have one more request with the Bi-weel-new and the tri and quadweels.
It would be nice if the place of birth of the natal was the preset location for transits and progressions or a button where I can quickly choose that.
Thanks.

the new bi wheel has a checkbox for birth place on transits.
And it works with the regular .pa2 settings.

Ok, checkbox found,thats nice.
But when comparing old-new, the old is clearer for me.
I can remove planets and select aspects ... not with the new one.
Or am I still doing something wrong?
See graphics.

Volker is right though, if you for instance enable only classic planets, this module won't reflect that, gonna do that next.

I can't help but find the old Bi-Weel more fulfilling my needs.
The new one turned out nice, no question about it.
With the old one, however, I have direct access to various setting sets, I can select planets,
and the most important thing - when comparing partners, I have the houses in the second radix.
If you are toying with the idea of taking the old one out now - please leave it in. (By the way,1988 was a great year. ;D)
Thank you.
