Coincidings Module
« on: January 17, 2022, 09:38:10 AM »
I had a look at the coincidings module yesterday and this morning and was really impressed.
I can only advise everyone who doesn't know it yet to have a look at it. (horoscope-various-coincidings)

It finds repetitions of aspect combinations in the period 1700-2100.
e.g. sun conjunct pluto and mars square neptune, as it prevails at the moment. The results of the last 4 hits alone from 1903-1985 are already convincing and coincide with the symbolism.
It also automatically looks up the birth dates of people who have this combination in Wikipedia.
Very useful module, which I have overlooked so far.

A nice addition would be to add the slow runners in the sign.

I have attached an example as a graphic.

Thanks for posting about the Coincidings app. Tell me more about the "slow runners in the sign". I'm not sure what you're asking for. I'm continuing to work on additional features. You can find numerous case studies and other information about Coincidings at my blog: symbolistics.wordpress.com. Also, note that you can specify the full range of years to search starting as far back as 1500. Usually, I don't go back that far, and going farther back than that, it is often hard to find a reliable birthdate.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the very informative link to your blog.
I came across your module because I was looking for a way to examine the concurrence of multiple factors in the past. Currently it was sun conjunction Pluto in combination with Mars in Sagittarius square Neptune.
Jean later showed me the right module and helped me use it. Time-Query. I just need to learn how to use it more fully.
What you describe on your blog has always interested me. Find people with common combinations. To see where the similarities are, how the planetary forces show up. Has a bit of twin research.
The descriptions of psychological astrology were too shallow for me, those of the esoteric ones too far-fetched and those of the classical ones too fatalistic. I then found out about ebertin and the half-sums. On my search I came across Wolfgang Doebereiner (Way of Aphrodite, reverse and gap theory), where I had the feeling of having arrived through his books, but also of having to learn everything anew.
I will continue to follow your blog and continue exploring your module. Thanks for creating.
The Slow Runner(Saturn-Pluto) sign thing struck me because your search was limited to aspects and I thought you'd get more hits that way. But at the time it was out of mundane interests.
I'm not sure if it's specific to people to make clear statements.
I will use the query module for such questions.
I only do astrology as a hobby. To understand the world better, so to speak.

Thanks, volker, glad to hear from you. There are new Coincidings features now included with PD. I'm thinking of hosting a Zoom meeting in March to demonstrate the new features and walk through a case study with the software. Then I will make the recording available for others to learn how to use Coincidings with PD.

But it's more likely that I will post videos, given the lack of interest in a meeting.
