Bengals @ Ravens, 9/10/2022
This Sunday game sees the Bengals on the road to the home of the Ravens. The pundits favour the home team here, with 73% sensing a Ravens' win. The bookmakers agree with this assessment. Both teams are 2-2, and statistically they are very evenly matched. The Bengals have a better passing game, thanks to star QB Joe Burrow; the Ravens have the better rushing game thanks to star QB Lamar Jackson!
The astrological picture bears out the potential toughness of this match. It can't be called on the basis of the algorithm, with both sides scoring 5 points each. The sides, cosmically speaking, are extremely evenly matched. Both sides have well dignified rulers, but their primary lords are not well placed. Both sides are relying on the bound lord of their angle - Saturn - for any decisive edge, but this planet is placed in the angular WSH tenth. It's powerfully placed, but not leaning to either side.
It may be of note that Venus, the Ravens' lord, is quickly approaching the Sun - it is combust in the WSH sixth. This gives some indication that the Ravens position is not as strong as it first appears.
To break the deadlock, we have to look elsewhere in the chart. Mars and Venus are both under the influence of Mercury. Mars is in its own bounds in Mercury ruled Gemini; Venus is in its own sign Libra in the bounds of Mercury. Mercury's importance here points to the undoubted influence of the two QBs. Mercury itself is in its own sign in Virgo, in the bounds of Saturn. Saturn is very powerful in this chart - angular in Aquarius, a sign that it rules. Saturn is in the bounds of Jupiter. Jupiter however, although in its own bounds, is in the WSH twelfth, a position where it has limited options to impact the game. It is, however, ruled by Mars, the Bengals' primary lord.
The only thing that I can find to split the teams, is the fact that the Moon changes bound (from Mercury to Mars) towards the end of the game, potentially in overtime. This occurs around 23:12, nearly three hours after the start of the match. At 23:11 the MC in Pisces changes bound from Mercury to Mars and at 23:18 the IC changes bound from Jupiter to Mars. In my view, this period of time, if the game goes on this long, may close out a very tough match in favour of the Bengals.
I'm out on a limb but will say that the Bengals, the 'dogs, win a bruising match, potentially late in regulation time or in overtime, with a passage of play at around 23:11 to 23:20. We'll see!
Postmatch
The Ravens won this match against the prediction with a field goal at the death! The kick took them past the Bengals in the final seconds of the game. I don't know if my timing was correct, but the prediction of match play was pretty good, even if the result wasn't correct.
Final score 19-17.
