Query example for Uranian Astrology?
« on: January 02, 2023, 05:49:02 PM »
Hello and Happy New Year everyone!

I have a question re: how to use the Query function. I am trying to do some research with Uranian Astrology where I would like to put in a Uranian "equation" and search as to "when" in time this equation will occur. I understand that this can be done with the Query and I would be grateful if someone could offer query syntax examples.

E.g.

Conjunction: Mars / Hades
Opposition: Jupiter / Kronos
Midpoint: Jupiter=Saturn/Admetos
Sum: Sun=Mars+Venus
Other examples involving more than 3 objects.

Many thanks!
Chris

Happy new year.

Conjunction: Mars / Hades
  isangle(mars, hades, 0, 3) > -1
  3 degrees orb
Opposition: Jupiter / Kronos
  isangle(jupiter, kronos, 180, 3) > -1

Midpoint: Jupiter=Saturn/Admetos
  midpoint(saturn,admetos) > sun - 1 and midpoint(saturn,admetos) < sun + 1

Sum: Sun=Mars+Venus
  mars+venus > sun - 1 && mars+venus < sun + 1

the previous 2 won't work for conjunctions around 360 degrees.

Other examples involving more than 3 objects.
  isangle(mars, hades, 0, 3) > -1 or isangle(jupiter, kronos, 180, 3) > -1

For aspects, have a look at the new Time - Extended ephemeris, it can do aspects.

ps Chris,
If you are interested in astrobasic, the query feature generates a script and runs that, it is at c:\planetdance\time\query.ab.
