Extra Asteroids
« on: January 19, 2023, 01:02:27 PM »
Hallo,
I'm new here and started using Planetdance very recently, so still getting familiar with it.

My question is about extra asteroids.
I often need to see if there is an interesting asteroid in a birth chart at a particular degree.

Extra Asteroids gives the possibility to see the position at a given time (birth chart) of basic asteroids.
If I wanted to do the same thing with Extra Asteroids, I would currently have to add them one at a time, which is really onerous (see attachment).

Is it possible to download them all at once so that I can see their location at a specific time?

Alternatively, I would just need to do a targeted search on the degrees of interest, and then see which extra asteroids were there at the moment. For example, a search between 10° and 12° of Cancer, let's say December 12, 2019 in Rome at 2pm (I'm from Italy).
Thank you

Jean

Hello,

1. No, i'm not gonna do that sorry, what you can try is go to http://www.astro.com/ftp/swisseph/ephe/longfiles/ and download the .se1 yourself and copy to c:\planetdance\eph, then adjust c:\planetdance\time\asteroids.txt
2. Look at Time - extra asteroids, there you can search for periods.
