Calculation mismatch
« on: May 01, 2023, 08:03:36 PM »
Hi,
I'm trying to input the following chart https://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Vespasian of emperor Vespasian, but for the given date my Planetdance calculates an Aries Moon, instead of the Taurus one calculated by Astro and by me with the use of an other software. In fact in Planetdance that Taurus Moon can be achieved only if one moves his birthday from November 17 to 19. I also checked Stellarium and the mistake is obviously in my Planetdance. Can you please check this one out? Also before you ask I updated my Planetdance just in case there was a glitch from me missing an update.
Thanks.

Adrian

I checked on astro-seek, it also gives aries moon.
I'm sorry, it's a very old date so accuracy is always a problem.

The date in Astro.com is in Gregorian format, if you convert in Julian format using for example this page https://planetcalc.com/8497/  come up that you have to add 2 days at the date that become 19/11/0009
Using that date the PD's calculation is correct.

May 13
+ Added checkboxes to force either Julian or Gregorian calendar to the input dialog.
* The name in the input dialog accepted only 25 characters in stead of the allowed 60 for a name.
