KIng Charles III Coronation
« on: May 01, 2023, 06:19:33 PM »
Hi there - I'm going to take a look at King Charles III's diurnal or daily chart for the day of his coronation. This will occur at 11AM on 6 May 2023. However, the diurnal chart is set for his birthtime and birthplace on that day, giving a high focus look at the planetary energies he is dealing with at the moment.

In Charles' diurnal chart 5 Sagittarius 30 is rising. Jupiter rules his diurnal chart for the days around the coronation. Diurnal Jupiter at the end of Aries (Mars ruled) is in mutual reception with his natal Mars in Sagittarius. Further more diurnal Jupiter is approaching trine natal Jupiter at the end of the fire signs. It should be noted that Charles is experiencing a nodal return at the moment. It seems his destiny is fulfilled. However, the day before the coronation there is a lunar eclipse at 14 Scorpio 52. This occurs exactly (within 10 minutes of arc) of the 12th house cusp of the coronation day diurnal chart.

The 6th-12th axis in a diurnal chart (the example uses Porphyry cusps) seems especially sensitive and generally does not portend benefits. Although Charles has come to the throne following the death of his mother, the eclipse degree on this difficult axis does not suggest a long or happy reign. We should note that Charles' Sun-Mercury midpoint is exactly aligned with this axis too, and the diurnal Sun, although it has moved on from the eclipse degree, is right inside the cusp of the Porphyry 6th. It should also be noted that diurnal Sun is precisely square Charles' natal Pluto, and the square is clearly aligned with the 6th-12th axis. This symbolism suggests the assumption of power, but the alignment with the 6th-12th axis indicates that there are significant challenges for Charles' to face.

The most precise alignment in the chart is the opposition between the diurnal Saturn at 5 Pisces 49 and the Charles' natal Saturn at 5 Virgo 16. The natal Saturn is elevated precisely square the 5 Sagittarius 30 rising degree. Charles' is in the midst of Saturn opposition, bringing his responsibilities into sharp relief. The cross with the horizon for the day and time of the diurnal chart shows that this emphatically reinforced by his coronation. Saturn in Virgo suggests a fastidious devotion to duty and service, and the elevated position of his natal planet emphasises this element of Charles' destiny. Saturn in Pisces at the bottom of the chart relates to the duty-bound heritage that Charles' has inherited.

As ever with these diurnal charts there are multiple alignments with great precision. I would like to note one last alignment - this is the diurnal Venus, exactly transiting Charles' very exact Jupiter-Uranus opposition. This occurs in the last degree of Gemini/Sagittarius. This axis, using 8th harmonic aspects is precisely aligned with the eclipse degree axis of the 5 May 2023. It is also exactly aligned with the 6th-12th axis by 8th harmonic (45 and 135 degree aspects). Jupiter-Uranus in opposition speaks of a 'radical monarch'. However the challenging alignment of the 6th-12th axis suggests Charles' may struggle to realise his vision of a modern monarchy.

The chart of the day is attached below, with the diurnal chart on the inner wheel.
