Here is some early work around using John Frawley's method within Planetdance. I am still learning this system, so any conclusions or predictions are very provisional.
Frawley bases his method on identifying the rulers of the ascendant and MC for the favourite, and the lords of the descendant and IC for the underdog. In this case the Chiefs have Jupiter serving as a dual significator; the Lions have Mercury serving both angles.
The circular highlights around the angles on the chart indicate zones of high intensity in Frawley's method. He dispenses with a full house system and focuses on angular placements - planets rising, setting, culminating or anti-culminating.
You can see that there are two angular placements highlighted: Mercury, the Lions' significator, just inside the 7th house cusp. This points to the key role of the Lions' QB identified in my previous posting. Placements just inside the cusp are strong in Frawley's system, but not as strong as placements just on the cusp. Here Mercury is identifed as a positive support for the Lions - Jared Goff needs to deliver.
Fortune has an unusual role in Frawley's method - it's important, but not as important is the antiscion of Fortune in mundane position. Frawley gives a rationale for this that I don't fully understand at the moment. Nevertheless, Fortune is just inside the cusp of the tenth house. On the face of it, this would seem to be a strong indication for the favourite. However, in Frawley's view, the much stronger placement would be for the Chiefs to have the antiscion of Fortune here. In this case, the Chiefs would be certainties to win.
Interestingly, Frawley doesn't reverse Fortune at night, so follows Ptolemy in just using the day formula.
The Moon's movement over a range of five degrees shows the flow of the match, and aspects from the Moon to planets and antiscia mark out a narrative for the game. In this match, the Moon is VOC, and doesn't make any Ptolemaic aspect before it exits Gemini. My sense is that this shows that the favourites are unlikely to be hindered in victory, but nor are they supported by the passage of play. The Moon here is quite neutral.
My sense is that the two sides may play out a more evenly matched game than the pundits predict. With the limited experience I have of Frawley's method, I think he might say that the Lions have a slight edge, but I am interested to know how the VOC moon plays out. I wonder if it will come to pass that however well Goff plays as the QB, it won't be enough to overturn the reigning SB champions. Both sides have a chance I suspect, and might be a closer match for each than the pundits expect.
We'll see.....

An interesting start for the Frawley method. I think he might have got this one right and predicted the upset based on the angular Mercury.
Frawley 1 Everyone else 0!
