Day/Night Pars function
« on: October 06, 2024, 09:29:22 AM »
Hi everyone!
I have a question and perhaps a suggestion that may be of interest to many of us. On the main Radix page on the right side lower corner a user can choose between which calculation he prefers when it comes to the Lot of Fortune. So if it's a nocturnal chart this function allows one to visualize the Lot of Spirit in the main chart, and then use the Ptolemaic primary directions function to direct this Lot. For me this is great news for that allows me to use both major Lots in PD, but only in nocturnal charts. Is it not possible to allow this choice for diurnal charts as well? For if that were possible that could solve one of the major issues I have when I use this programme for PDs. Just an idea, it may be something stupid for maybe it can't be done, but I though I'd share my 'discovery', that at least in nocturnal charts I can visualise the other Lot and I can direct it etc.

Take care!

A.

You can display Daimon in the column, see options settings general column. Does that help?

Hi Jean, yes I know about the column, but that's not what I'm referring to. I am referring to the option to change how the Part of Fortune is calculated in a nocturnal chart, which effectively allows me to toggle between the Fortune and Spirit. In diurnal charts one can not make this choice, for there it's the diurnal calculation as a default. But if one could toggle in a diurnal chart as well, that would effectively allow a user to use both Parts in primary direction simply by changing the way it's calculated. We can do that now with nocturnal chart, but not with diurnal charts. The column part is not helpful in this because one can not direct that.

In any case, if in a diurnal chart we can't have the same calculation choice as in a nocturnal chart I understand.
Take care.
